BISMARCK, N.D. — Morgan Claus, a sophomore from Moscow High, had 12 kills for North Idaho College, which concluded the Mystic Invitational with a 25-21, 25-16, 25-21 win over the Dickinson State JV at Bismarck State College on Saturday.
Freshman libero Brecklan Weaver served eight straight points, finishing with four aces to close out the second set.
"Brecklan was magnificent and really put an exclamation point on that set," NIC coach Drew Pascua said. "They made a few runs, but our defense stayed strong."
Earlier, Jordyn Williams, a freshman from Mount Spokane High, had 12 kills for the Cardinals in a 23-25, 25-18, 25-21, 16-25, 15-11 loss to Dakota County Tech.
NIC (2-2) returns to action at the Salt Lake Community College Invitational next Friday and Saturday.
