Cardinals drop Wallla Walla in four

COEUR d'ALENE — Freshman Morgan Claus and sophomores Abigail Beaton and Rylee Hartwig had 10 kills each for North Idaho College in a 23-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-22 win over Walla Walla in a Northwest Athletic Conference match on Friday at Christianson Gymnasium.

Sophomore Brooke Minden had 23 digs, sophomore Rachael Stacey 16 digs, freshman Hailey Hillman 42 assists and Hartwig three blocks for NIC (15-1, 3-0 NWAC), which hosts Yakima Valley today at 1 p.m.

"We did a good job passing and on defense this evening," NIC coach Brittany Tilleman said. "Our back row worked really hard to get our setter the ball. Our hitters mixed their shots up really well. We have a lot of room for growth, which is a good thing to have at this point in the season. Limiting errors and making smart decisions is going to change things for us moving forward."

Walla Walla is 4-6, 2-2.
