2024 Women's Soccer Season Recap

The North Idaho College women’s soccer team wrapped up the 2024-2025 season, finishing with a record of 7-8-3 during the regular season. The Cards finished slightly below .500 despite running a relatively efficient offensive attack boasting 32 goals over 18 games. They also had a shot percentage of .244 and a shot-on-goal rate of .748; both ranking among the top in the conference. Defensively, they maintained a respectable goals-against average of 1.61 and earned six shutouts, but still they only ranked towards the middle of the pack in league standings.

Even through difficulties during the season, they performed at a high level while on the road, with a record of 4-3-2. At home they had a record of 2-3-1, which they look to boost this next season. Throughout the season, the Cardinals demonstrated resilience in several key matchups. They secured a decisive 2-0 victory against Utah State Eastern and fought hard in ties against Truckee Meadows (1-1) and Colorado Northwestern (2-2). However, the Cardinals faced a few roadblocks during the season, including consecutive 3-0 losses to Salt Lake and Snow College.

Four Cardinals were selected to the SWAC All-Region Teams this season. Sophomore Cora Anderson was selected for 1st Team honors, while freshmen Kaylee Smith and Tiana Griego were selected to the 2nd Team. Freshman Zoey Glenn was a 3rd Team pick.

Despite their regular season record, they had a very high-powered offense and they are looking to turn the tide next season with a high scoring offense and shot percentage. Head Coach Kellsi Parson looks to recruit key players for high performance next season.
