ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. — The Cardinals fell to the Apaches of Douglas, Ariz., in a nonconference game at Western Wyoming Community College.
"We didn't play the game we thought we would today," NIC coach Kellsi Parson said. "We looked good defensively for 70 minutes. They made a ton of adjustments and kind of came at us and we didn't adjust for a while. We went to a high press, but it was a little too late. It was definitely a learning lesson for us."
NIC (1-1-0) faces Northwest College in Powell, Wyo., on Sept. 2.
