Bio

Brittany Pounds joins NIC for the 2023-24 season. She was born and raised in Washington, and spent most of her life growing up in Spokane. It is there that she was introduced to the game of golf by her father. Pounds attended Mead High School where she was a four year letter holder and had multiple WIAA 4A state appearances. After high school she went on to play four years of collegiate golf at Western Washington University. She graduated with a Bachelor's in Science in Kinesiology.

Pounds has been playing competitive golf since she was 13 years old and continues to play competitively to this day. It was her passion for golf that led her to coaching. She comes to NIC with two years of coaching experience at Ridgeline High School where she was the head coach. It was there that she found her niche in coaching. She was named 2023 Coach of the Year for the Greater Spokane League. In her short two years at Ridgeline she was able to coach her team to their first WIAA 3A state appearance in school history.

When Pounds is not on the golf course she can be found fly fishing with her husband, traveling, or just spending time with her family.
