North Idaho College women’s basketball player Esmeralda Galindo was selected as the Week 9 National Player of the Week. In last week’s play, Galindo averaged 35.5 points per game while shooting 67.5% from the field and 85.7% from beyond the arc. She also pulled down four rebounds per game.

“Esme put together quite a weekend for us at Snow College and Utah State Eastern,” said North Idaho College Head Women’s Basketball Coach Nate Covill. “Not only did she put up big numbers scoring, but she did it while maintaining an incredible shooting percentage. It is no surprise to us, as Esme spends a great deal of time in the gym working on her craft.”

The Lady Cards play again at home in Christianson Gymnasium on Thursday, January 30 against Utah State Eastern at 5:00 p.m.
