Lady Cards come up short against Northwest College Wyoming

Northwest 92

North Idaho 80

POWELL, Wyo. — Freshman Deniece Ryan had 22 points, six rebounds and five steals for the Cardinals in a nonconference loss to the Trappers of Northwest Wyoming.

Addie Kiefer, a sophomore from Lakeland High had 16 points, freshman Iratxe Amoroutu added 21 off the bench for NIC (0-2).

"Deniece, Addie and Iratxe had a good day offensively," NIC coach Nathan Covill said. "But we've got to get better defensively. We were a little tired from the game last night, and it wasn't a good matchup for us. They did a good job of getting out on motion and making reads on some screens."

NIC is scheduled to face Southwestern State College next Thursday at the College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls.
