Cardinal men romp in road shutouts

KENNEWICK, Wash. — Freshman Ismael Mane recorded a hat trick, all in the first half for 16th-ranked North Idaho College in a 6-0 Scenic West Athletic Conference win over Pacific Northwest Christian at Vista Fields on Saturday.

Freshman Adem Arous had a goal and two assists for NIC (11-0-2, 6-0-2 SWAC), which led 5-0 at halftime.

"We found it very difficult to come here and play on the surface," NIC coach Brad Williams said. "It was harder to play on than Eisenwinter Field, or any other field that we've been on for that matter, so it disrupted our usual style of play. We had plenty of chances on goal with 18 shots."

NIC faces College of Southern Idaho on Thursday in Twin Falls.

Pacific Northwest Christian is 0-8, 0-8.
