TUKWILA, Wash. — Freshman Isaac Fritts scored in the 22nd minute for the Cardinals, who were shut out in the second half by the Bulldogs in the Northwest Athletic Conference friendlies at the Starfire Soccer Complex.
"They did everything I asked them to do and worked well as a team," NIC men's coach Brad Williams said. "We were just a little unlucky to give up those second half goals. We've got a very young group and have a lot to learn and go over. But I think we've figured out some lineups going forward."
NIC (1-1-0) returns to action at Blue Mountain of Pendleton, Ore., in the Northwest Athletic Conference opener on Sept. 6.
