Cardinals move into third in East with one match remaining

COEUR d'ALENE — Sophomore Mariel Stuart scored two goals for North Idaho College in a 5-1 Northwest Athletic Conference win over the Yakima Valley Yaks at Eisenwinter Field on Saturday.

With the win, NIC (12-4-3, 8-2-3 NWAC) moved into third in the East Region ahead of Walla Walla (10-6-2, 8-4-1). The teams will play in the regular season finale on Wednesday at Eisenwinter Field, with the winner advancing to the NWAC playoffs.

Freshman Cora Anderson had a goal and assist for NIC.
