MEN'S BASKETBALL: Cards defeat TVCC 95-79

The North Idaho College men’s basketball team jumped out to an early lead in the season home opener against Treasure Valley Community College on Saturday, January 22. The Cards defeated the Chukars 95-79.

 “Our guys played well for the most part, granted we were missing a few starters due to COVID protocol,” said Head Coach Corey Symons.

“It’s next man up since we have such a deep and talented team,” Coach George Swanson added.

Julius Mims gave fans a high-flying show throwing down five dunks. Mims led the Cardinals with 23 points, followed by Jack Kiesbuy with 16.

The Cardinals travel to Wenatchee on Wednesday, January 26 to face off against the powerhouse Knights at 7:30 p.m.
